Task 3 evaluation

From your findings in task 1 and 2, on your blog write a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 800 words. Write a word comparison/evaluation on how the social media platforms like twitter, instagram, facebook snapchat and youtube are used by audiences and institutions to access and deliver specific information.
Use your own examples as well as examples from the film sites that you looked at in task 2.

From Task 1 the information I got was that most people in fact 80% of all that I asked said they used You Tube the most to watch Film Trailers. This helps me a lot because it gives a clear indication as an idea of what platform to advertise the film we are creating the most. I asked people if they used Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube.
I think film companies would use youtube the most to advertise because from my research most people said they used youtube to watch film trailers and then the second most used platform from my research was Facebook so companies could use Youtube as well as Facebook by maybe for example posting a film trailer link on Facebook and trying to get people to visit that link on youtube.
A film audience uses social media to access and deliver information about the film they are seeing/ discussing, for example if someone watched the Darkest Hour and really liked the film, then maybe they would tell a friend about it by messaging them on Facebook or snapchat or Insagram and most likely tag one of their friends in the film trailer, their friend would then most likely watch it and maybe like it and if they did then maybe go and buy tickets to see it. This information is key because if the film company realises and finds out that Facebook or Instagram or Snapchat or youtube or Twitter etc is used the most to interact with film posts like say the highest number of views of the trailer or the most comments on a certain post then the film advertisers can start to post more on that certain social media platform and target them to a certain audience like teenagers at 7pm on a Saturday night.
